The Port Talbot Wheelers 2026 Club Event Season runs from early April through to early September and consists of a weekly Thursday night cycling time-trial run over distances ranging from 10 to 30 miles and finishing with a hill climb on the final event of the season.

Overview
The Port Talbot Wheelers 2026 Club Event Season runs from early April through to early September and consists of a weekly Thursday night cycling time-trial run over distances ranging from 10 to 30 miles and finishing with a hill climb on the final event of the season. Including the one-off New Year's Day 10-mile time-trial the season consists of 24 events. There are season-long points competitions for road bikes and time-trial bikes plus the hill-climb event with trophies to be won!
What is a Cycling Time-Trial?
Unlike a ‘massed start’ cycle race a cycling time-trial is the simplest of all competitive cycling formats as it is essentially a race against the clock, with individual riders starting at one-minute intervals and covering either a simple ‘out and back’ course or a circuit course.
